About Us

Badgers Hill Garden Centre was established in 2020 following Lockdown, at the local well-known site of Badgers Hill Farm and Cidery in the famous village of Chilham near Canterbury. As a family run business with an exceptional team, we have built a welcoming and ‘rustic’ environment for all types of gardeners and plant lovers. We have abandoned the typically conventional ‘garden centre’ approach to create a fresh and wilder environment which seems to be a winner with our customers. Our structure offers our customers a more inspirational and expressive shopping experience which presents a significantly relaxing feel. Since 2020 we have increased the diversity of our stock into a proud volume of the finest quality plants, pots and everything to create your perfect garden.

 We have re-energised the café and coffee shop which is nestled within the charm of the farm. A cosy surrounding paired with an extensive menu offering enviable home cooked meals. What’s more our in-house baker creating the finest homemade cakes, and pastries which are unrivalled and continuously gaining the approval from all of our visitors. The jewel in the crown is our friendly troupe of staff who are thrilled to welcome you and cater for your specific requirements to ensure your dining experience is first class. Our outdoor seating extends the sensation of outstanding beauty the location offers, along with the recently improved play area proving to be a triumph with our regular young guests.  

In July 2023 we acquired another local business ‘Gardeners Paradise’ which has joined us at Badgers Hill. Offering a huge selection of landscaping products from decorative aggregates to timber sleepers, we can now provide the full service to both retail and trade customers when designing and accomplishing their gardening and landscaping scheme. A huge range of products constantly in stock allows us to offer a one-stop shop service to all of our clients.

Since 2023 to date we have been working tirelessly revamping and extending the garden centre area in order to showcase our extensive range of products and improve accessibility for all of our visitors. We have introduced a new multi-span polytunnel which will enable us to increase the nursery side of our business and allow us to produce our own plants.
